The World's Largest Office Party - Why Attend? |
| Since 2004, we've been supporting several local non-profit organizations by connecting our members with organizations at our Last Tuesday monthly networking events, promoting their events. But, we're taking it up a level and hosting our first-ever large scale fundraiser, the World's Largest Office Party and kicking off YPOP's annual "Young Professionals Civic Engagement Month!" |
| For one night - Tuesday, October 27 - we're taking over the Crystal Ballroom and Lola's Room and turning it into a party room for young professionals...from live music provided by local artists (details about the bands below) to a plethora of games including poker (yes both traditional and Texas Hold'em), basketball and Nintendo Wii. |
| So for one night, join your fellow YPOP members as we party at the Crystal, and raise money for a great local non-profit - Hands On Greater Portland. |
| Tickets to the event are $30 (plus applicable surcharges). Tickets can be purchased through ticketmaster.com, a Ticketmaster outlet, or the Crystal Balllroom box office. $25 of each ticket sold goes directly to Hands On Greater Portland. |
Costume Contest - Win a pair of roundtrip tickets on JetBlue Airways |
| Since the party is close to Halloween, we had to have a costume contest. Dress up in your best “office” costume and the night of the party we’ll pick 10 finalists from the crowd. The winner, selected by the audience, wins a pair of roundtrip tickets, courtesy of JetBlue Airways. |

| We're excited to feature 5 local artists for this year's World's Largest Office Party. The bands for this year are: Thomas Lauderdale from Pink Martini, Devin Phillips, DJ O.G. One, Goodbye Harrison, and Graystar. |
| Following Thomas Lauderdale's performance, Pink Martini's new album "Splendor in the Grass" will be available for purchase at the event, and Thomas will be available to autograph the new album. $2 from each album sold will go directly to Hands On Greater Portland. |

The Benefactor - Hands On Greater Portland |
| Hands On Greater Portland is a nonprofit organization that connects 19,000 volunteers a year with meaningful volunteer opportunities, feeding those in need, caring for the homeless, teaching children and caring for the elderly. As Portland's only volunteer center, Hands On partners with more than 300 nonprofits, schools and government agencies, providing critical volunteer support to the greater Portland metropolitan area through hundreds of one day projects, ongoing volunteer teams and long term volunteer placements.
