| About Allen Alley | | Over 30 years Allen has built an experience base that spans multiple disciplines from engineering to marketing,
venture capital, entrepreneurship and most recently, public service. | | In May of 2008 Allen was elected as the Republican candidate for State Treasurer. He ran in the fall 2008 general
election and lost, however the campaign was deemed a success by many standards. He was selected by the state’s
largest newspaper, The Oregonian as the top “winner” of the election. In fact, Allen received the endorsement of 9
out of 11 state wide newspapers from every geographic corner and political point of view. He won more votes in
Portland’s Multnomah County than any Republican in history. Building on the momentum started with the 2008
Treasurer’s race, in February 2009 Allen announced he would run in the 2010 election for Governor of Oregon. | | Allen first got a taste for politics in 1964 when he helped his mother work on a Washington gubernatorial campaign.
He was reintroduced in January 2007 when he became the deputy chief of staff for the Governor of Oregon. Allen
was responsible for overseeing the policy areas of economic development, technology, transportation, workforce
training, and energy. With more than 30 years’ experience in a multitude of disciplines, Alley worked to strengthen
the bridge between Oregon’s public and private sectors. He left the Governor’s office to run for State Treasurer in
March 2008.
| | “I have been very fortunate to have had success building several global companies. I have been passionate about
business and our communities. I look forward to using both my business experience and passion for our
community to help Oregon be a global business leader.”

room projectors and flat panel televisions. Many of the world's leading manufacturers of consumer electronics and
computer display products utilize this technology to enhance image quality and ease of use of their products.
| | As CEO, Allen led Pixelworks through an initial public offering in May 2000, raising $66.1 million; achieving the top
semiconductor IPO of 2000. Pixelworks has also exceeded $1 billion in cumulative revenue since founding in 1997
with 95%+ of its sales outside of the U.S.
| | Prior to founding Pixelworks, Allen was part of the executive team who lead the growth of InFocus from a $50
million company to $250 million. He also served as co-CEO of the joint venture with Motorola called Motif. His
connection with In Focus began during his tenure as General Partner with Battery Ventures. Allen was the lead
investor for Oregon based In Focus and served on the In Focus Board of Directors from 1988 to 1992.
